Mobile Veterinary Nursing Service Disclaimer

Bearfie & Me provides mobile veterinary nursing support, routine hygiene care and general pet care education. Our services are not a substitute for examination, diagnosis, advice or treatment by a registered veterinarian.

Our veterinary nurses do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, change veterinary treatment plans or perform procedures restricted to registered veterinary practitioners. Where veterinary direction or approval is required, the service will only proceed once appropriate instructions have been received from your pet’s treating veterinarian.

Medication assistance is limited to medication that has been lawfully prescribed or recommended for the individual pet. We will not change the medication, dose, frequency or method of administration without instructions from the prescribing veterinarian.

Wellness and care support appointments involve general observations, practical assistance and owner education only. They are not veterinary consultations or health examinations and cannot confirm that a pet is healthy or free from illness or injury.

If your pet displays pain, illness, injury, distress, unusual symptoms or another concern outside our scope, we may pause or decline the service and recommend veterinary assessment. We reserve the right to stop any service where continuing may compromise the safety or welfare of the pet, client or veterinary nurse.

Bearfie & Me is not an emergency veterinary service. If your pet is experiencing breathing difficulties, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, seizures, suspected poisoning, severe pain or another urgent concern, contact your veterinarian or nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately.

Clients must provide complete and accurate information about their pet’s medical history, behaviour, medications and veterinary treatment. While all services are provided with appropriate care and skill, individual animals may respond differently and no particular health, behavioural or recovery outcome can be guaranteed.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

By booking a service, you acknowledge the nature and limitations of mobile veterinary nursing support and agree to follow any recommendation to seek veterinary care.
